Peugeot E-208 50kWh -This is my short review after having the car for 5 weeks (and doing 2.5k miles). Unfortunately, this video isn't as long as I would have liked because I had to stop filming due to the current lockdown.
I will make a more detailed review when things get back to normal

The reason I found the phone cables more of an issue (which I didn't mention in the video) before I took delivery of the car I spent nearly £30 on 2 Anker phone cables to keep in the car - only to find out later I can't really use them. So hopefully pointing this out in my video will stop someone else from making the same mistake.

About the charging problem, just get a 90° L link USB cable. Can get from Amazon for about 14 quid.

Thanks for taking the time to do this video, it's nice to see an owner's perspective. I've got a yellow GT with sunroof on order. My commute is shorter than yours and I'm not really that bothered about range. What I loved when I test drove one were the looks, the ride quality and the cost. I've had a fast Audi for a few years and every day someone wants a race or tries to follow you to see where you park so they can steal it. Gets a bit tiring after a while. I'd previously test driven a Tesla Model 3 Performance which was great fun and an incremental step up in performance from my Audi but for that sort of outlay I decided instead on an e208 for the daily stuff and to have a nice motorbike on my days off.

Use a 90 degrees usb charging cable and it fits perfect on the stand :)

You can get a lightning cable with a 90 degree angle that sorts the problem

I totally agree with the comments about the phone USB clearance and the usb -c limitations, the latter seems very unthinking

As for Apple car play I just bought a blue tooth adapter works perfectly

If you reduce speed to 100km per hour and set cruise control as often as possible, you will get over 300kms range easily.

I find it laughable that companies DONT do real world true testing, otherwise they would have noticed that a phone with cable in wont sit properly!

Nice to see any owner’s reviews of the e208 my question is I’m looking to get my first small ev and everyone I have seen haven’t said anything about pre warming or cooling the car like if you can use an app??
Also I like the looks etc of the e208 would you still buy one or would you steer away from it after you have lived with it ??

Had mine for a week now, an ex-demo which I have since learned was shipped without the ACC which is supposed to be standard on all GT's. Oh well, serves me right for not doing my research. My main grumble is the non-intuitive nature of the infotainment system. I really struggle to navigate my way through to change any settings. The Gear icon that would traditionally allow you to access all settings only presents a couple of options so I invariably end up pressing buttons randomly until I stumble across what I'm after. Why is there no 'Home' screen with the summary of all systems? (I'm used to the Sync system on Fords which I find so much easier). I got an audible alert for an incoming text message but then have to go hunting for it, why no pop-up?
As a car I love it, the looks, the drive, the interior looks and feels quality, its just the user interface seems to have been knocked together by a 5 year old.

The usb on the left is for the passenger so will be for charging only.

I'm glad you're enjoying the car - great to see. I find that range surprising and disappointing, however. As a Zoe ZE50 owner, a range of under 200 is a really bad day. I've slammed it down the motorway at 70 and it was returning a solid 160 at a bare minimum.

Nice video but your issue with where to place your phone whilst charging is actually a non issue. I too have the new 208 and whenever my phone is plugged in for Apple CarPlay I just put the phone in the space BELOW the wireless charging door. Problem solved.

Have configured my choices today, choosing a GT and adding the pan roof - but ‘laboured’ somewhat over the upholstery. I now think that at 4.28, we see a GT-Line with dark fabric seats, whereas when we travel with you, we are treated to the light upholstery which I believe is standard on the GT? Okay, I’m an oldie, so these things take a while. BTW - your vlog went a long way to convince me the Peugeot would be the one to go for - thank you.

Slightly lower mileage than the new 52kWh Zoe, but looks a nice car, especially the 100kW charging!

Hello again - am slowly gathering more info on the e208 GT so if you are thinking what to feature in a future vlog - I'd love to see the Parking Assist in action (I've watched your reversing camera vlog several times) - and maybe a recording of the Pedestrian Alert as heard from outside the car. Incidentally, can this feature be switched off by the driver - as in some EVs? Thanks for your patience.

Thought I recognized the location, is that Westward Ho! at the end of the video? Great review, I'll be receiving my e-2008 at some point in the near future hopefully, so interesting to see you opinion on the UI etc as they are all shared with the e-208
