From here in Ohio, the ceremony (the little I saw) looked wonderful in spite of the rain. Boats of teams cruising down the Seine, Eiffel Tower alight, singers and torch bearers, and the big flame ballone rising in the sky.😊

I only watched a bit here and a bit there, only because it appeared disjointed to me. . It showcased beautiful Paris very well, , ...can't deny it is a gorgeous city, However, it was not as exciting as the different contingents from all the participating .countries parading into the arena with proud flagbearers in front, being announced and cheered. How exciting it was for a country with very few participants and sometimes only 1, to hear a deafening cheer as they entered the arena. I Wishing all the Olympians a happy, enjoyable and winning time in Paris. In my mind, just making it to the Olympics makes you a winner. Good Luck
