Why the Ibanez RG 550 Can ONLY Play THIS Style of Music!

I love all my Ibanez guitars, and they're so versatile

I love my les paul, I love my strat, my tele, my prs, my esp, and I also love my 550. Its like a painter using different brushes. you wouldnt paint the side of a house with a detail brush, or try to do trim with a wide roller. Depends on the band make up, and the song, and how much you need to fill soundscape wise, or stick out detail wise, not the genre of music, I use my Ibby for detail.. thats just how I see it after playing half a century, haha, no one is wrong, as long as ya love playing, use whatever guitar you like to play. Most often for a show I will choose which to take based on which ones have the newest strings, not what guitar it is, lol

There are no style limitations with any guitar but I sometimes miss the hard palm mutes I can pull of with hard tails but not so much with a Edge/Floyd.

After all of these years people are still ignorant about the uses of guitars and pickup layouts and uses.. I have Jem's which the 550 was the original prototype for and I have RG550's and 450's and one custom 550 with a RGDX350 neck, now I put them all in the closet about 5 years ago along with my Jackson Sharkfin and V guitars for my Custom Tele's and a Music Man EVH but some is for convenience and the other is because I used a different amp now and my DiMarzio Chopper T and Twang King using the Richie Kotzen set-up I have more versatility and I can shred on the 2 Tele's or Music Man EVH.. The Ibanez guitars give different tones and colors to music, splitting pickups and or playing single pickup, it's why so many people play a Les Paul and for other songs a Stratocaster but you have it all in one place.. Guitars are very simple and people have a tendency to over look all of the features to give you every sound you need in one place . You can add a sustainer or do different things like that and get more colors without changing guitars on stage..
Keep rocking the RG 550 and show people the full range of the reasons it's still a number one selling guitar workhorse without the shred... Cheers

Try out the ibanez rg 350 its 5way switch is geared to almost any sound or style music you like and the inf pickups are absolutely amazing.

People who say that usually play Gibsons and or Fenders LOL the worst guitars I've ever played. Ibanez Shreds they make the most versatile guitars out there, who wants to hear Jazz or Funk anyway!? Besides a Japanese Ibby vs a gibson or fender smokes em all, Americans make terrible guitars
