First Impressions of the 12-String Martin HD12-28 at the Martin Showroom

I've always loved Martin acoustic guitars, and have probably played hundreds of Martin 6-strings over the years, but I had never played a Martin 12-string until I was invited to check out their Nashville Showroom last month. While most people generally associate the 12 string with Folk music, I LOVE acoustic blues on the 12-string guitar, with some of my favorite players being Leadbelly, Blind Willie McTell, and of course, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Ive been listening to music for years and i’ve been binging his videos and honestly I’ve never seen a musician like him before. His skill is incredible and in my opinion the last time we saw a musician this good was stevie ray vaughan.

Very impressive technique! Somehow I feel this style is better suited for a 6 string, but he definitely brings something unique to the 12.

During the last days I was saying to myself "it is strange I ve never watch a video of JJohnson playing a 12 strings guitar". And then he posts this video. I really like 12 strings guitar, the problem is it is difficult to play it. I prefer in this case folk music rather then blues even he plays this music very well.
