Why Is JNU Students' Union Protesting Against New Hostel Rules

Jawaharlal Nehru University on October 28 witnessed a faceoff between the administration & the students' union over a meeting on the new draft hostel manual. JNUSU office-bearers protested outside an Inter-Hall Administration (IHA) meeting against “massive fee hike” and “regressive provisions” of the new manual which includes stringent punishment for protests.
