This video shows the mmb connecting to iDrive 7 only on 2020 or newer BMW's.

Your website say this mmb is compatible with all BMW's with factory wireless Apple carplay including 5 Series G30. I have your device and a 2017 5 Series G30 with factory car play. I can't connect because the process is different to this video you need to verify the passkey on the screen of your Apple device while connecting. That is impossible to do on your device as it has no screen obviously until it is connected. Can you please post a video of the connection procedure for iDrive 6?
