I'm a guy and I was hanging out with someone at the mall when we were teens. On our way there, a clown appeared out of nowhere, grabbed my hand, looked at it and exclaimed loudly: "I CAN SEE YOUR FUTURE. And you're gonna be together for a time." And he was SO happy and proud of himself.

We were both stunned for a couple of seconds and then:
Her: "I'm his sister."
Me: "And I'm gay."

The guy just was devastated and just muttered "Oh...ok" and left.

jaiden being aroace is just a part of her. sure it may change how some people see her, but i still see her as the cool animator with sick talent and that's all i care about. growing up, i'd always pressured myself to think that i had to be dating or having a crush on someone, so your newest video made me happy :)

The thing you don't notice about the whole "let go of a good friend, because they don't want a relationship" is that the longing for more sometimes does not go away. And sometimes the hope for more has a hard time leaving, too.

Knowing I'm aroace by now too, I actually had the exact same kissing experience. And I just gotta say, if you like someone, regardless of them potentially being aroace now, do not confess with a kiss! You'll put them in a spot where they might not know what's happening until it happened and you just end up overstepping their boundaries and potentially alienating the person you like. Consent is important even for "just" a kiss. And just because they didn't slap you away or some doesn't mean they consented. So in short, surprise kissing someone to confess is not the sweet romantic gesture that movies make it out to be

I find that the best way to break awkward tension between two people that are being socially awkward and don't know what to say, is to comment on the socially awkwardness and make light of it. You'll both have a laugh and then you both can explain what you are feeling and why, which usually kickstarts a conversation
