Gujarat Forms Committee To Implement Uniform Civil Code | Muslim Body Calls It 'Unconstitutional'

Ahead of the upcoming polls in Gujarat, the BJP government in the state has decided to form a three-member committee to prepare a rough contour for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. Reportedly, the decision was taken in the last cabinet meeting after which the likelihood of UCC implementation has further increased. While the BJP has attributed this decision to justice and equality for all, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has called this an 'Anti-Muslim' and 'Unconstitutional' move. This is further expected to increase the tussle between the BJP and Muslim bodies in the state. Watch to know more!
