Two superb musicians who created their own special divine sound. Jim Messina - one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Where are the groups today with this kind of skill, talent and heart? Memories. . .

One of the best live bands ever. I was lucky enough to see them.

..it's pretty rare when a group allows other musicians to freely solo, and then you really get that true music to shine out...you get the other guys to exhibit their brilliance too

Never gets old. A cooler full of Coors, a dark two lane Texas blacktop, and a 75 Camaro at warp 9 on the way back to college for the week. Good times.

One of the best jams in the heart of Country Rock ! In the line with Marshall Tucker, ABB and - don´t forget - Poco !!

My dad used to hang out with Kenny and Jim at the Golden Bear back in the early 70's before I was even born. Still my favorite artists of all time!

70ties and 80ties.. Trekkings in Scotland, mountaineering in the Alpes (courses snow and ice), touring trough Europe on my motorbike; trip of 4-5.000 kms.. I'm 66 now.. getting old and I cried when hearing after 30 years this music of Loggins and Messina.
G*dd*mm*nd, no sailing anymore..!! (read "La Condition humaine"of Andre Malraux.. in simple words the shortage of human existance..)

I got turned onto them back in the early seventies. I had just got out the Navy and bought 2 tix to see them at UC Irvine in 76. I was going to take this chick that I was madly in love with to see them, but she went back to her ex and didn't go, so I gave my best friend the extra ticket. Best Live concert I have ever heard. It was in the basketball gym... seated like 2000 people and every seat was phenomenal, as was the sound. I was VERY sad when the group broke up.

You are right. This was a smokin band. Jim Messina is the Leader. Nice. He's great. They all are.

The entire record is CLASSIC beyond compare, listen to "Golden Ribbons" in 1972 and tell the world you were NOT affected by the Vietnam war

This record, this double album set of live performances, some in Boston, is what got me hooked on this band at the age of 17, got to see them numerous times between 72’ and 78’ including what was the last stop on the tour out at Tanglewood in western Massachusetts, outdoors, late August! They were just fabulous together and their band was supremely talented
