I googled the title of the show to see how old this was and the first thing I found was on Amazon a listing for a out of stock VHS version that said released in 1998. I remember watching programs like this in middle and high school late 90s early 2000s. I love that these shows are still available and so easy to access.

The Norwegian Vikings were considered to be the Hells Angels of the Vikings. I learned this at the Viking Boat Museum in Oslo! The Norwegians are very proud of this fact.😊

It's a long time since I did history at school so it's interesting to relearn everything.. William the Conk was a nasty piece of work but obviously they all were, before and after him.

The battle of hastings is the only major battle in britain where litrally not a scrap of archeological evidence has ever been found.

Henry II died in July 1189 and their son Richard succeeded him; one of his first acts was to free his mother from prison and restore her to full freedom. Eleanor ruled as regent in Richard's name while he took over for his father in leading the Third Crusade, which had barely begun when Henry II died.
