"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" is one of the best romantic western classics.
Two big name stars, Newman and Redford, played perfectly together in one movie, that was rare event in Hollywood movies. The two forged a lifelong friendship. In fact, Robert Redford's role was originally for Steve McQueen, that didn't work.
The Movie was selected by the American Film Institute as the 7th-greatest Western of all time.

Really good movie in it's day! I sat through it 3 times at the Temple Theater in 1969 in Meridian, Ms.

I saw this great Western film in 1969 when it was shown and I remember the last words at the end when Busch and Sundance got killed which were Fuego, Fuego by the entire Bolivian army even though it was a sad ending it was a superb artistic film 📽️

Anyone recognize a young Sam Eliot as the gunslinging card player in the opening scene with Redford. Hardly seems like the same guy !

Perfect movie... except for the ending!

I think it may have been a commentary I listened to ( years ago ) that it was said that the love triangle implied in the bicycle scene was influenced by " Jules et Jim "

Chula Mon-Ne' below La Pose. rail rod tracks were gone, don't know if the road project was completed.
Something in around the late 1979. / 80's. it was a check point slopping down hill, that being, guessing it's roughly 10, 000 plus elevation. with about four or five structures. if there was a bank there, it wasn't there when I was passing through.

For some reason in the early ‘70s scrappy song had to be inserted in the middle of the movie whether it made any sense or not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Bolivia part is a hollywood ending that might not have actually happened.

It always freaks me out. She puts her toes on those nuts for the wheel just next to the spokes 😮

I hate remakes, but I think if they did one of this movie, but from the perspective of the chasing law, men.. You see them slightly and hear Butch and Sundance talk about them ..

Random, illogical cuts. You've ruined a great movie.
