Edit: I was going to keep the first unit with the missing wand and use the wand parts I had from other kits, but then the engine started after firing (loud exhaust pop after shutting it off). To avoid possible valve issues, I returned it to Home Depot early the next day for a different unit. It was a pain dealing with Home Depot (wasted 30 minutes of my life because the online people and local store don't communicate and are almost separate competing businesses) so open the box to check for parts if you pick up in store! I shipped it so didn't have that option...and the missing part was essential to use it.

Update after 6 months: Used to wash 3 houses to prep for painting as well as concrete cleaning totaling ~25hrs and no issues so far with pump or engine. I put fuel stabilizer and run the carb out of gas completely when done, as well as run pump armour/antifreeze and wrap the inlet/outlet of pump to protect from corrosion and freezing. Everything starts up when I needed it.
