In this video I'll be explaining just exactly how the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Suit Transformation works in regards to the Symbiote Surge, alongside the various symbiote suit abilities you can use with different outfits, what my wishes are in regards to a new game plus mode for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and how I wish game mechanics work in the sense of Spider-Man Web of Shadows symbiote suit switching and Spider-Man 3 game suit switching too.

not being able to transform on the go is personally a huge disappointment, we are already limited to 4 ability slots, why not make it so that when you transform the ability wheel automatically turns into the symbiote ability wheel, it would make the overall flow of combat be much more satisfying

Not being able to switch freely is a huge deal breaker for me.

The build all of the creators played was 6 weeks old, so I really hope it’s something they added in the finished build, but I’d image it would take more than 6 weeks to make a brand new animation. They should’ve done it like the Wii version of web of shadows where you can pick a red suit and black suit to switch to instantly on/off

It is kind of sad that you can’t just swap to the symbiote whenever you want but at the same time I’m glad we can just choose a different symbiote suit like the Raimi one

The fact that they didn’t add an ability to freely toggle between the symbiote and a normal suit, seems like an enormous oversight to me. I believe that it would justify the use of the symbiote surge ability with the “Ready To Glow” skill if you had a normal suit equipped prior.

honestly i think that they went the cheap way of making the symbiote suit just another suit. Symbiote suit should be another suit with the option to change between suits like web of shadows and they should let us customize which alternate suit we want to use as our symbiote suit. We have 200+ suits in the game, there should be a menu which we choose a suit for ''main suit'' and then another one for ''symbiote suit''. They could let us use symbiote abilities with both but just making symbiote suit some menu suit like any other suit isn't that great. Storywise if they went with the whole 'you need to just use symbiote suit with peter because he is addicted to it'' could work too

So a fun little ability of the Venom symbiote (and other symbiotes) that I don't see utilised nearly enough in media, Is it's ability to shape shift, and from what I've seen, its ability to shape shift isn't restricted to its base colour of black.
So when using a different suit with the symbiote abilities you can easily just say that its the sybiote taking form of that suit, and I think that's pretty cool.

I personally think we should be able to switch between the symbiote with the tap of a button. Even if there are no animation differences like in WoS. It would be friggin awesome just to have it implemented.

Here is the wierd thing in the mission were we are in docter conners house we see him switch from whatever suit you had on to the symboit suit it shows that peter could do his normal suit

I’ll be honest, having the symbiont just be another suit and being able to use its powers for every costume, to me takes away from its impact and importance with its power, what’s really the point of the suit If you can have its power when ever, like Yuri said he wanted his acting to show off how addicted Peter is, but how can the player also feel really addicted if there’s no real reason to always wearing the symbiont.

It would be cool to have a category of different exclusive symbiote suits and allow you to choose one to switch to.

the thing I don't understand is how the black suit can just be an alternative costume, you see just as much as I do when Peter chases the lizard across the city we agree he goes faster and more aggressively, frankly if we can't switch as we want from the red suit to the black suit it would really be annoying, how could a game like web of shadow have done it and not a game like it I hope with all my soul that it's a well hidden feature

Awesome video! First one I’ve seen that someone “actually” brings that topic up for discussion. I’ve been hoping for it to be possible to transition between suits on the fly, but I highly doubt that’s the case now.

Judging by what has been said, “you can switch suits and use the symbiote powers with any suit by going into the suit menu and ability menu and switching that way”. In my opinion, that’s a “no”. Would I be disappointed; yes, but will it stop me from loving the game? Absolutely not! I’m gonna love every second of this game!

But yes, it is a total miss of an opportunity in my opinion. They showed him do it in the first gameplay trailer, I would like to be able to do that all the time.
But then get to a point in the story where the suit has taken over and it doesn’t allow you to switch. That’s when you have to fight to get it off.

Honestly, they could potentially add it later but its unlikely. It could be a skill ability.

We get to choose which suit we want to wear for both Spider-men, mix-max the abilities of Symbiote, Spider arms, Venom Blasts, and Evolved Venom Blasts how we wish.
