Most community colleges offer a cheap first aid or pre-EMT course that teaches these basics in a more welcoming setting. They play the Bee Gees during the CPR unit. Nice way to spend a few evenings.

Knowing how to stop the bleed is a good skill to have in a lot of non-prepper situations, like traffic accidents.

Doomsday Preppers are more likely to panic and do something dumb. The first rule in a disaster is to "Stay Calm".

I feel like preppers are the most misunderstood. People are so quick to just say “wow cringey” or “imagine wasting your life doing this” when in reality, these guys are vital if something serious ever happens around you. Everyone has a place.
If you’re bleeding out and everyone around you is just staring, I bet you will wish one of these guys are around.
