How to Install a Storm Door - Andersen 3000

I show how to install an Andersen 3000 storm door. It was an easy project. The key thing is measuring to get the correct size. The kit comes with the drill bit you will need to create pilot holes for the screws.

I used this video and no other directions, worked great. As several others commented, cosmetic tabs might be the hardest part. I haven’t installed one of these in 15 years, this style took about an hour. It’s about as easy an install as they can make it if you are remotely handy. Thanks for putting this video out there.

Just installed the storm door using the video. It is very well done - thanks! The only bump I experienced (which was neither in the video nor in the written instructions) was to take a pair of pliers to pull out the metal extender out of the closer. I share in case someone else gets stuck on that step (though based on the comments no one else did).

I watched three other videos that were not at all helpful, and served only to confuse me more with useless verbiage, blocking the view with a big fat butt, and one even put the door in backwards. Your video makes perfect sense: proper video angles, clear language, and zero verbal miscues. I ordered the door, will pick it up tomorrow, and hopefully enjoy the view tomorrow evening thanks to your video.

5 stars video here! I just installed this door and i just watched this video step by step. The only problem i had was installing the trim to hide the screws but I'll do that on a warmer day when the plastic is more flexible.

Great video, can’t figure out why so many dislikes . I didn’t even open the included instructions. I do agree with so many others that the screw cover design is horrible, still haven’t gotten mine on yet . Thanks for making such a helpful video
