Wow, Jon Michael...I've got to tell you this...I put my guitars down 30, or so, years ago. Now, my desire is, can I re-learn, and SOMEHOW, time-travel BACK to the '70's? Back when I still had a grip on passion?Watching your tutorial inspired me IMMENSELY! AND, believe it, (or not), this is one of the songs I want MOST to learn. Your teaching method, your guitar STYLE and your sweet voice, have made me realize that I want it ALL back....ALL of it...YESTERDAY!!!! And so, this coming week will find me at the best music "store" I can locate. I'll get my (acoustic) guitars re-strung, tuned up, and get my fingers working....AGAIN!! I'm even thinking about getting an electric guitar going. It's embarrassing to admit just how long it's been since I've played. I hope my fingers will be able to do the work, for my spirit is most definitely willing! Thanks, ever so much, for being where you are, and who you are! -Wren-

I loved it. Remembers me of my childhood in Arizona in the 70's

Great lesson! I am 59 years old… It is 2020 and I have two young grandchildren… I’ve loved this song since I was young, and this is a perfect technique to learn this song so I can play for my grandkids... Thank you for this thoughtful and very cool lesson! I love the finger pic but haven’t really use this technique of hitting the bass notes and doing the slap… It is really effective and gives a nice rhythm!

Just stumbled onto this lesson. I'm going to date myself by saying I loved this song when it first came out in the 70s. Kenny would be proud. Good work!

"Pooh" is an inter-generational bridge builder. Hope I can play this for my kid, or she learns to play it, someday. Great work. Much needed skill and knowledge.

An ace breakdown of this gorgeous song which always makes me look back wistfully to when our children were little. The days flew by too quickly. I have it down on my guitar already. God bless.

Thank you for showing us the whole picture, teaching the parts, and then putting it back together again for us in the end. I Love your style of teaching. You are a great singer and player. Sometimes, I just keep rewinding the beginning to listen to you sing and play over and over again. Then, I remember what I came for....to practice!

I really like the way you do this lesson. It's a good camp fire song your version. I'm into street performing it's awesome. 😊

I am still new to the guitar and can't play bar chords yet.. Haha. But I love watching this. You are so clear about where to place fingers and you have a great voice! Thank you for sharing.

Great lesson. The way you lay it out is perfect!
1000 bonus points for calling the chords rather than saying tedious stuff like "2nd fret on the A string with your 2nd finger and... " etc.
Soooo many YT "teachers" fail to recognise that many of us play by chords and don't need the hand-holding BS.
More bonus points for being able to sing in tune!
All in all, a great lesson.
I can only think of one other L & M song I play.. (Danny's Song) but this has been on my list for years.. "I really should work out HAPC"!
So thank you for this! 🤩
P.S. There's a sweet little KL live version on YT ..(search "Live from Falls View"..i can't seem to embed the link..😵‍💫) from about 2020 in which KL modulates (crunches?) off the B major to push it from E major to G major. It works!
