The worst part of the Abyss is that it's embedded within you. When you realize that, you figure out you have nowhere else to flee but delusion. It's like a curtain falling apart in arctic summer midnight or a faucet dripping behind a thin wall near your bed. It's deeply unsettling but it's there and you can do nothing about it other than accept it, which seems like just about the worst course of action.

While I have never read Lovecraft, but earlier this year I dreamed of Cthulu, softly murmuring in dark waters. Two nights later I dreamed of Poseidon. He was riding high on waves and setting off earthquakes, volcanoes and floods. He looked happy and destructive. I have dreams that usually speak about the future and have learned to take them seriously, though I do not always comprehend their meaning at the time of the dream.

Imagine this, were already in the twilight, the world is not what it seems, it seems its an "holographic" one, a virtual one, one that only exists in the mind, and even the mind is virtual.
Real didnt or does not exist or will exist ever.
The only thing thats real is NO-thing and thats it, and that it, is you!
Now within this virtual we must awaken or go deeper into the game, and deeper means we create virtual within virtual, the dream within a dream, or we must awaken and realise we were never there.
In a world were being anything is better than nothing the idea gets dismissed and forgotten and the idea is so alien to their everyday doings and goings it scares the living daylight out of people.

I have been trying to figure out how to explain this concept and this is an interesting take. Once you see, it is a fine balance of not becoming obsessed, but still aware and moving forward. I think it is easy to see it and say it, harder to do it. Even knowing what to do becomes cloudy when you know you have to stop gazing into the abyss, because all of reality becomes a giant question mark. What actions matter? What actions are truly positive or forward? I think this becomes the cycle that people become trapped in, because if you just stare a little longer, you might understand it, and if you understand it, you can work out what actions must be done to defeat it. Since it is entirely incomprehensible, that is folly, but so is acting without understanding of what actions are "positive". I think the only answer to that is inside yourself. An ego death and rebirth, of sorts. An accounting of your own flaws and complicity in the darkness and devotion to living anew, without those ways of acting and being. To become the example. Maybe, it is helpful for others to see or meet someone who has looked into the abyss themselves and walked away, better, stronger, and compassionate, but also more precise and more discerning because of it.

In my sense and to share my two cents, nobody wants to go mad but alas nobody wants to stay ignorant of ways that keep them a slave. This of course has to be realized by the individual, and each one of us has that opportunity and freedom, no matter the impossible, there is no impossible. To "reach it" or to not get sucked in on either side is to understand this idea of balancing the two, like walking a tight rope. Thats the analogy or antidote for this in my opinion and experience. To do both and experiment with each given situation, to be aware in the moment and to not forget to shift focus between continuing finding the truth and taking a step back when needed and to accept the situation and live life for that particular moment autonomously. Balancing that tight rope, you are aware that if you start going over too much one side, what waits below you is the "abyss".

In early January 2020, I dreamt of Cthulhu but I wasn’t aware of his name back then. He emerged out from the depths of the ocean with his army and they terrorized the cities. Cthulhu appeared to be communicating with me telepathically, letting me know of his arrival soon. I woke up feeling disturbed. Only months later did I find out who this creature was as I chanced upon a video with his image.
