These cars are cheaply made crap, I know, I own a 2002 ford taurus and they are nothing but money pits. My car had so much replaced it is pretty much like new again. Of course I put more money on it than I should have but the car market new or used (used especially) is too expensive, I bought mine through a private party who were not honest about its condition like most people tend to be when they sell their cars. 99, 500 miles on odometer when I bought it in 2020. Mine is gold with a light brown interior. My biggest complaint is the stink that comes through heat vents even after having virtually all gaskets and hoses replaced when heater is on. I get heat of course after having heater core replaced, it is only noticeable when stopped and car reaches full temperature yet no mechanic can figure out why. It isn't super strong but irritating.

It is a good commute car for me and considering the work I had done it is reliable for that and have learned to do some repairs on my own. However, they seem cheaply made and would rather drive a Chevy then a Ford. I highly would not recommend these money pits.

Under a 100k in miles and virtually everything you could think of was replaced, it wasn't rusted out or in a salt belt, and I understand it was pushing 20 years old when I bought it. But have had cars older then that in far better shape with very little in the way of repairs and they were Chevys, serves me right for buying a Ford, I've had A couple of ford's before and the were crap. Ford gets a D- for piss poor cars. It already has an F on its name.
