For Sale: Architect Duo's Surprisingly Large Self-Designed House

Показать описание

Recently completed to an exceptional standard, this two-bedroom house in Homerton, east London, exemplifies a wonderful marriage between tactile materials and voluminous living spaces. The interior and exterior are materially distinct, with a sharp façade made from Petersen D72 brick and precast lintels, which cleverly juxtaposes with the warm, woody interiors characterised by Douglas fir and European pine. A secluded patio garden provides private outdoor space, with the larger green areas of Victoria Park and London Fields close at hand.

Probably one of the most liveable London homes I have ever seen. Brilliant use of space and so liveable.

Very nice space. For me, I could not do the whole roommate thing as two adult couples.

I really like your content but I wish your videos came with floor plans to better understand the spaces shown.

Nice stairs and garden, the rest of it leaves me rather ambivalent about its quality and values

Just jumping in here to say that custom cargo bike is rad.

Too short - it was hard for me to get a real 'picture' of this place.

Parts of it are nice but the ply wood is overkill. It weirdly works as a staircase, in the bedroom and kitchen, but then when it comes to the study/library, it feels claustrophobic and like it just needed a breather. What's with all these London hipster architects/artists etc and plain plywood?
