20:00 Absolutely true ! In a standard OEM, each team ( cooling, A/C, motors, body, trim, .... ) is working on its own, with its own goals, its own bosses, its own suppliers, its own budgets ... And this is the result .

You’re sitting there and nothing going on in the auto world and then boom, a Munro video. Makes your day!

I gotta say, that color, that matte finish look... It's just awesome. I can't stop looking at it.

Love Sue's narrative and perspective.

This BMW I4 (derived from the 3-Series) is definitely the same category as the model 3, especially from the inside. Model S is comparable to 5-series or even 7-series.
Here in Germany the model 3 performance with all possible extras costs 65000 euros, whereas the BMW costs about 85.000 to 90.000 euros. that is almost 50% more!

So it should be compared to Model 3 performance, not to Model S.

Sue is such a great addition to the channel! Gives you a feeling that it is actually kind of family business and not just another company. Keep going.

My biggest issues is current ICE EVs is slapping an electric motor in the existing car and parts is a joke of effort.

Everytime I think Cory is young and hip he says something like “I’m a SiriusXM subscriber.” 🤣

Gorgeous paint. no frunk is the trademark of a legacy shoehorn. Anyone complaining about always referencing the “Tesla narrative” doesn’t understand that Tesla IS THE NARRATIVE. Tesla has their flaws, but all the folks that used to laugh are now scratching their heads wondering how they out–engineered and out perform legacy in range and performance hands down

As always great content from Munro. I appreciate Sue’s wise perspective, and, in my opinion, Cory you are getting better and better in front of the camera and giving your opinion. If other viewers are like I am, we enjoy praise and criticism where warranted with the expert explanations in layman’s terminology all of the Munro staff provide. Thank you all.

Former BMW fan here. Owned 4 and used to call it "the machine". Then we got our first Tesla. A model 3 that was safer, faster, had way more features, cost me 5 thousand less, has much better resale value, requires no maintenance, has way less operational costs, a phone app that is awesome, much better navigation, leagues ahead in software, way more modern design, etc, etc and just destroyed my latest BMW (330i) in every relevant category. Couldn't wait to get out of that lease, I was already calling it the clunker.

Actual M50 owner here. I have had multiple BMWs (and mercedes) cars before this one. Including another M Performance model. For now, it is the best BMW I have owned. The range with the 19inch wheels is acceptable (450km mixed). The performance is blistering right up to the top speed. Weight is there, but corners very good - up to 1g. Built quality is very good without any flaws. For now, I am pretty happy with it, regardless of the sauerkraut with sausage architecture under the bonnet. Let's see what the future brings.

Really appreciate the closed caption for acronyms. Thanks Munro team

Sue is right on the weight differences. Even 2022 Tesla Model S curb weight 4, 561lbs is less. Also 100kWh pack vs. BMW 84kWh.

At 8:11, it is not accurate to compare the i4 to a Model S. The i4 is 188" long. The M3 is 184" and the MY is 187". Model S is 198" long.

"Lift to open" door handles have been around for decades. My 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint coupe had them!
