get the frame mount vehicle-specific, it will keep the plow closer to the truck. I bought my storm 2 in 2015 and the plow frame broke the first time I used it.(where the pivot locks the blade ). the steel was too thin and ripped like wet paper. I rebuilt it with 3/16 steel angle and gussets on every corner. winch lasted 3 years.

The most awesome thing DK2 did was get away from the 2"reciver installation and went to the new plow U shape mount system!! That 2" receiver BROKE at the welds Twice!

Definitely not an hour and a half install. I just installed one. It took roughly a day. Perhaps 6 hours total with mounting receiver and wiring. It sounds like maybe you are a mechanic. Haha. Or just a faster worker. :-)

Do you have any issues putting it on truck or taking it off? Can't seem to get it to mount or un mount truck with out a second person

Clean Family, do you or did you use the 2 frame support brackets ? I have a drop hitch and they do not line up. I may fabricate something but was just curious.

How was the plow without the blade stiffeners? It seems like that would be a lot of pressure on the front receiver

WHAT SIZE DID YOU GET? I have a gmc 1500, and was gonna go with the 82"x22"? because i wanted too be able too put it on either my fullsize 1500, and or my ranger. both i have hitchs for.. 2nd. question, how do you like the winch? Im caught in middle betwwen the winch or the actuator.. I imagine the actuator be faster, thus the reason i wanted it.. But i do like the idea an simplicity of the winch.. Could use any 3k lb winch from any hardware store in a pinch.. jusat use short cable.
Think this thing will hold up a few years even plowing gravel driveways?

God, nice to hear a review on this. I need a plow for my jeep and don't want an oversized plow. I seen a few of these today one on a larger truck and possibly one on abit of a smaller truck and they seemed logical (possibly less strain on the vehicals?) I have a 2" reciever If you have any other info on this item let me know your thoughts

this plow i ordered from Canada from lows thay took 2013.00 which i wanted the led light and mounts and the better lift motor they sent me the plan jan plow and over charged me have to fight with lowers and the DK2 company what a joke then don't send what i order and what i payed for i have DK2 manger that says one thing and turns and lies in middle of it telling me he didn't say that really i can play the tape not a issue for me tryed to settle with out a big deal but i see how this will go so i ant going any where bet me
