Man arrested for stealing thousands from store in Hialeah

Alberto Cruz was arrested on Thursday in Miami-Dade County over a brazen burglary that took the victim about four days to report to police.

For ANYONE committing these brazen robberies, smash-n-grabs, etc., in stores, it should be an AUTOMATIC 6 months to a year in jail, with NO early release. The reason he was doing it so brazenly, smiling in folks faces, was because he KNEW they couldn't stop him.

I worked at a store that had shoplifters exactly like this. It was infuriating. They are in jail now. She can’t get her bond lowered ($500, 000) because she’s a habitual offender and he flipped so fast the cops were dizzy.

I still remember the first week of our new contract with a major hardware retailer. The thieves were so brazen. Our team is armed and fully equipped, yet these punks just casually grabbed stuff off the shelves and actually tried to walk out with it. What I never understood was how they all appeared shocked when we slammed each of them on the pavement. They all seem to be under the impression that we can’t touch them, that we will face charges and be fired for stopping them, and that they are allowed to steal! The stupidity of these people is astounding. Theft is almost nonexistent at the store, now.
