Early Harvest Garden Tour - How I did it…

It's only early summer and already there is an abundance of tasty pickings in Ben's garden. Follow Ben as he leads us around his garden showing us everything he has growing and sharing his knowledge. He'll even show us the bits we don't usually get to see, including his food forest, his ornamental border and his wildlife areas.
Get a notepad ready! Here come some handy hints for reaping earlier harvests to help feed your family.

1 Sweat down one large, chopped onion and a couple of garlic cloves in a tablespoon of oil until softened (about five minutes).
2 Add 25oz/700g diced zucchinis/courgettes (two to three medium fruits) to the pot, together with 1.25 pints/700ml of vegetable stock. Simmer for 20 minutes.
3 Blend the soup till smooth before adding 3-4oz/100g grated parmesan. Whizz again to combine then serve with a warm, crusty bread.
