The Google Nexus 5 is unreasonably light -- really just comes as a shock. I almost got the same feeling as I did when I picked up the Galaxy note 3 which also had an extremely shocking low weight compared to the size. At just about 130 gms, the Nexus 5 is unmistakably light and weighs the same as the Galaxy S4. But compared to the S4, the device feels more stable and reliable in the hand and the soft touch rubberized finish at the back provides for better grip.

The Nexus 5 display is 5 inch 1080p screen and is incredibly sharp. With the latest Android 4.4 KitKat loaded on the Nexus 5, the display seems even more accented with full view that extends to the notification panel as well as the soft navigation keys at the bottom of the screen.

The Google Nexus 5 comes with an 8 MP camera which is just about ok. The LG guys had to cut back somewhere to ensure that the device has a low competitive price but offer a flawlessly high performance device. The sensor is what they spent less time and effort on. The device takes decent pictures but nothing extra ordinary. The pictures are good enough for them to reside on your phone and for uploads on Facebook & Instagram.

The Nexus 5 records 1080p Full HD videos at 30 fps and has optical image stabilization built in which is a plus. So it does a good job of eliminating shakes when you are moving with the camera in your hand. Again, you can check the video quality of the Nexus 5 camera in the link shared above.

Nexus 5 is the first device to come outwith the latest Android 4.4 KitKat loaded. And it is essential that we talk about all the new features that it brings about. The changes as compared to the older version of Android are really subtle and you'd only know if you've been using a stock Android 4.3. But the overall look and feel is more organic and much more pleasing.

IF you are a moderate to heavy user (defined as someone with at least 2 email accounts on sync, popular social media profiles on sync, regular whatsapp and/or BBM user, 1 hour of music playback, 30 minutes of some video streaming and around 2 hours of talktime daily) -- you are not going to get through the entire day without charging it sometime during the day time!
