Gwen Stacy Suite | Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Original Soundtrack) by Daniel Pemberton

Gwen really came into her own in this movie, not only bringing us a whole new beautiful universe to explore but also showcasing her complex relationship with her father and her inner turmoil throughout the film. With her prominence in the movie came a whole new musical identity for her that wasn't in the first film, and it's one of my new favorite themes in the entire score. It's tone is entirely based on ethereal, melancholic strings and sound design that fits the isolated and restrained nature of her character. The most prominent aspect of her theme is the three note motif that acts as her main musical motif throughout the score, portraying the emotional and tragic aspects to her story and arc throughout the film. For her action moments however, the score begins embracing her punk rock roots by bringing in drums, guitar, and high pitched, siren-like riffs. It's an absolutely killer theme that showcases Gwen's punk attitude and high octane fight scenes, while also being able to play somberly for her more intimate scenes in the film.

"Look Gwen, we can't make you the main character but we can you the best theme music."

i love the melancholy of her motif but the fact her theme, of someone so lonely, culminates with a expression of her grace and action with techno and drums is beyond spectacular

If I liked Gwen in this movie in the 1st, I think she was perfect in this one, her story, the actress, her musical theme, her relationship with Miles and her father, her decision at the end, this character is Fantastic

i love how artistic Gwen's world is, color means everything, the music flows trough her and all is amazing, the use of colors at the movie using blue colors for express how Gwen is feeling at the moment as also her dad, everything is so artistic and as a big fan of art myself, i am obsessed by everything of it

Gwen was probably my favorite character in the movie. Her OSTs, visuals, storyline, all of it, was beyond perfection.

My favorite part of across the spider verse is Gwens story, her dimension is so beautiful too the colors are so amazing I felt something I haven't felt watching a movie in a while and that was special for me

The flute-like notes are so amazing. They sound like something that would come from a kung fu movie during the silent standoff before an epic battle unfolds, which gives me a sense of elegance and agility, which also fits Gwen's character well

8:59 starting to this part the whole music is banger and so fitting with Gwen’s story

I would argue that the across the spider verse intro, and start a band would also be her themes as well as the drums play a big part in all of Gwens themes

Gwen was the MVP of the second movie... she's the one that gets the complete story arc, the big emotional beats are hers, and her rescue of the helicopter in the Guggenheim is the second-best action scene in the movie.

It's been a long time since I've had a character mean as much to me as Gwen as Spider-Woman does. Truly something special, especially this version of the character. Wild how attached to her I am, seeing the conclusion of her story next movie will be devastating in the best way

The fact that the synth notes in the start of the Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacey) theme are the leitmotif from Sunflower (the Post Malone song from the 1st movie) just blows my mind. This plus the sped up version of the classic spiderman jingle on syth mashed as a "bridge" of shorts makes for a genius combination. Whoever wrote the soundtracks for this movie is an absolute madlad and a brilliant musician and producer. Absolutely stunning.

I can't help but feel vibes of 'Tears in the Rain' listening to this. Gwen's story is tragic and for so long is isolated only have a couple out outlets. Truly glad Miles makes a chance for her story to change.

I tried getting into comics as of late and like a week before the movie I read the original series for spidergwen. Seeing moments and general vibes of her story and characters to perfection with insane music and visuals was incredible. I need to read more comics.

Fun fact: If you slow down that little guitar motif that plays throughout her theme, it’s the old spider-man theme!

The best female lead I’ve ever seen in a movie. She wasn’t overbearing with lines or her personality. She wasn’t trying to be funny to where it’s annoying. She has a complex role and yet she fills it perfectly. She’s this reliable character there to help Miles and be his friend, to co-Star in his story. Her character is portrayed beautifully.

My god that main Spiderwoman theme is just pure magic and art. Sony arguably made the best depiction of a female superhero and this is coming from a harcore DC fan. Gwen's character arc was just something else, I'm really looking forward to what they do with her in beyond the spiderverse.
