George Inserts NPA (Nasopharyngeal) Airway on Himself

In this Video, George becomes the patient as well as the therapist and inserts an NPA airway on himself gaining an understanding and the experience of what a patient would feel when one of these airways is inserted. Ouch

Wow! I had a spinal cord injury (C6 complete) years ago and this procedure is the only thing I look back on like it was yesterday. I had it done twice and the third time they wanted to do it I told them they’d have to put me under… it was worse than breaking my neck and the multiple surgeries and years of rehab afterwards. I am amazed you did this willingly and impressed you did it with such grace! What a Doctor and man you must be!!

I'm just doing a basic airway management refresher (EMT) and realized I had never seen a training video showing insertion on an actual person. This was great! Watching you size that NPA, it sure looked to me like the size 7 was too long, and your gag reflex apparently thought so too. You are a braver man than I.
