I wish we could get a book from the perspective of a Queen who raises and cares for her daughter or daughters yet knows that she may one day be her killer. Oasis loved Blaze, but knew she wouldn’t be a suitable queen. I love the little hesitation she has before embracing her daughter, it could be seen as indifference or even guilt as Blaze will not only have to face her sisters one day, but also possibly Oasis.

to me after oasis lipsyncs, it feels like child blaze knows what will happen, gaining the knowledge of her adult self, and takes the opportunity to hug her mom while she can. this animation adds so much depth to blaze within a few seconds. she may be dumb, but she has a heart

Blaze is so elated, though the song suits Oasis's feelings about Blaze not being able to be queen... I feel that and it hits hard. It's so deep. Also, the animation shows through again and makes me fall in love with the video, as well as Blaze and Oasis.

The way she tries to be a good mother, the way she IS a good mother but doubts herself. Small detail, Oasis jumps back when Blaze goes for a hug. Probably because she's queen, and Blaze is her daughter, so she mightve thought Blaze was gonna go for the throne.

I can't stop watching this. The subtle movements in the animation with the lipsyncing, on top of the angles and music, all makes it feel unreasonably realistic in a strange, twisted way.
I can't quite explain the emotion it makes me feel. Maybe an existential crisis on top of a warm fuzzy feeling and sadness. Longing.
