November 16th, 1981 was my birthday!
Saw my first TV shows courtesy of my parent's 13" Motorola Black and White CRT TV... DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL!
First VHS I was gifted... E.T.
ITT Rotary Telephone... yup, Rotary was still operative in the 80's... was the phone I used to talk to friends.
Needed to find out where the roads were at? Use a Hagstrom Map!
NYNEX YELLOW PAGES, oh God, I can just smell the newsprint now!
Woolworths was my go-to discount store! J.J. Newberry's, if my parents felt fancy.
Bootleg VHS copies of the latest films if we couldn't afford Friday night premieres.
And visiting my grandparents in Pennsylvania, watching a modern TV.... on top of an early 70's woodgrain RCA TV.
God, what memories...😂❤
