Regardless of which team you support, you can't not root for Geno and his story.

As a mountaineer I prayed geno would succeed along with tavon Austin I thought those 2 would dominate the league unfortunately tavon didn't have the same type of career but hes got the greatest highlight reel in cfb history

I respect Geno and I’m happy for him. Often time the NFL puts these guys in impossible situations, don’t use the players correctly, don’t put a team around them, don’t give them time to develop, etc.

Being a Seahawks fan, this really got to me. Because I still have my person struggles in life. Geno Smith truly is an inspiration. I’m so proud of him with the way he turned his career around. And Pete Carroll deserves a lot of credit for helping him regain his confidence. One of the best comeback stories in NFL history. Keep going Geno!! Go Hawks!!

We love our city. And we’re lucky we have Geno. Thank you Charissa. Awesome interview.

To me one major lesson of Geno’s story is that it can take YEARS for a player to develop enough to be successful in the NFL. I feel like too many quarterbacks get drafted and are expected to perform at an elite level right away and it just doesn’t work well for most. More quarterbacks need to have the time to develop before they become starters.

I was one of those 12's who questioned Geno place on this team once Russ left. I am certainly happy for the man that he didn't write back. He is humble, driven and a great leader of men.. I am happy call him our QB.

Geno is incredibly humble & that's what I like the most about him. At no point has he ever had an "it's all about me" attitude like Russ did.

Why isn’t Pete Carroll ever in talk for coach of the year? Honestly if there’s 2 Coaches I would want to play for ever would be Pete Carroll and my team the Steelers Mike Tomlin… There’s is nothing these 2 men have not seen in the game of football. Also I do hope Geno brings success to Seattle and people that like them hope they agree too..
