What's the difference between booth rental and suite rental for hair stylists?

Hair stylists have two options when it comes to renting their space. Booth rental is perfect for people who are just starting out, but don't want to invest in a lot of capital. Suite rentals offer more freedom and flexibility, including your own custom space. Watch this video for five reasons why you should consider suite rental over booth rent!

Great video. I would also add that in some states both rental is illegal because you can't file a 1099 self-employment while being an employee under someone else. If they can file taxes on you, you shouldn't pay them rent, but if you're filing self-employed you're your own business, that means all of your supplies, your name, marketing, clients, everything is on you and yours to keep if you do decide to move locations.

Hey, what about insurance. I know the salons have general liability but should booth renters still have booth rental insurance or professional liability insurance?

Let’s just ask the fiancé who did the hard work for your suite rental. Why even make a video like you did everything?
