So... Is Animal Crossing New Horizons 'Dead'?

So is animal crossing dead? After an strong Nintendo E3 in my opinion, many animal crossing fans were worried that there would be no more animal crossing update after everyone was anticipating a big reveal at E3 2021 with new animal crossing new horizons dlc. To answer the question, if you made it this far you deserve it, I personally think it is nowhere near dead. We have to be patient and if there’s no update by the end of the year then we can start to get disappointed. I also reccomend watching other youtubers perspectives like switchforce who I think is a great youtuber !

Tbh this video sorta did calm me down I was super angry and complained abt it in the comments on the E3 video but deleted it cause I felt bad abt being harsh towards nintendo... and there was this person that said it came out a year ago calm down... It's like no one understands my pain but u and many acnh youtubers do so tysm for that... Don't get me wrong... I love acnh it's my game... I agree with everything here. Also another thing to point out: It said "DLC" in the E3 Direct... I feel that the reason there wasn't anything about acnh is because they weren't going to make the updates be DLC, and instead be free updates.

Honestly? I needed this video. I was irrationally angry since yesterday, especially that they said they haven't planned any Zelda campaigns for 2021 and I wanted those items back that in part were in every game since the beginning. Hearing all of this put in perspective like that really calmed me down. The game isn't dead, it's still a lot of fun and as you said, it's still selling.

Certain clickbait youtubers title every second video "2.0 update" and hyping every miniscule bit of animal crossing information to the max. Idiots watch it, get all excited and then are ultimately disapointed when it just a big nothing burger. I just chill and enjoy the game for what it is.

I'm not worried about animal crossing being dead, because it's development cycle for updates almost certainly got fucked by the pandemic.
if I had to guess, they probably worked on the 2020 round of updates back in 2019 and planned on working on the 2021 updates in 2020 but then covid happened so I'm still really excited for the latter half of the year and 2022

I love Animal Crossing so much and I will continue to play it. Although a new update was not announced, we can still do so many cool things on our island, from decorating and terraforming to going on long villager hunts. If you enjoy all that the game has to offer, it will be so exciting if (and hopefully when!) a new update is announced. I will keep watching ACNH videos and I can’t wait to see what the future of Animal Crossing holds!

Animal Crossing is one of those games where I play it for a couple of days and then don't touch it for a year and then play it for another couple of days and then never play it again.

I will always love animal crossing... I don’t think that it’s dead especially because I just started playing in December. I think the reason they did not update the game is because they are still working on a complex update or something?? Anyways I would not mind if the game is "dead" because it is still my favorite game. Thank you for listening to my rant.
