A lack of tangible stakes and some muddled RPG systems dull the blades of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.

6.7/10 - “When I died in the game, I did not die in the real world.” ~ IGN

They need to make an SAO game based in the original Aincrad where they have many of the guilds from the anime that you can join and rise in the ranks. It should also feature a fully customizable character you play as and minimal use of the anime characters. Just where you craft your own story. I would LOVE that

This review is basically. " Too much dialogue, I don't understand skill tree. " 6.7/10 IGN.

It's after the video games of hollow fragment and lost song, not the anime series IGN

If you guys havent noticed ign gives harsh reviews to all the anime games but give games like COD infinite warfare damn near an "8" out of 10 when it deserved a 5

Waiting for a game that lets you create your character and do exactly what the game in the anime does. You can quest, clear levels. Go to Aincrad and Alfheim. Maybe even participate in bullets of bullets. Doesn’t have to be vr just fluent

why is it when IGN reviews a game I feel like they played it for like 10 minuets and have no idea what they're talking about

I found this game a blast, 50 hours of fun from completing the great story and grinding out the legendary weapons. I'm still not even done because I have to beat the HNM's! The skill tree is super diverse with countless routes to go down, and the EX skills provides an easy switch in tactics. The combat may be repetitive, but it never got boring for me. Always unlocking more skills and trying to weapons always kept it fresh. The tutorials, though, are pretty paper thin and there isn't much explanation about some features. I've found that strength and vit are the only stats that mattered, no idea what dex and agi do. I'd give the game an 8/10. It's a blast if you love SAO! (Argo for life)

Typical haters. If you don't like SAO that's fine, but don't put down those who enjoy the anime.

30 seconds in and he's wrong. It's a continuation from the first two games, not the anime. Sort of the same but not at all. Different characters/scenarios happened that changed who's alive and how the other games ended. Other than that I agree. Would have given it a 7/10 but decimals. Good review Vince.

IGN must hate SAO. the girl who reviewed Lost Song got torn apart because of how poor she was with it

First time...a *6.7/10* gets more likes than dislikes

I bet 90% of the people saying SAO is bad say Naruto is their favorite anime.

Hey Bandai Namco, since you like making faux MMO like games so much... WHY DON'T YOU JUST BRING BACK *.HACK*?

"Sword Art Online? More like, Sword Art Offline! Hah" - IGN

so what I got from this is that the person who reviewed this shouldn't play rpgs? most of his complaints in the beggining were about him not having the patience for any of the additional character setup grinding that 90% of rpgs have... I've never played this game, but for a review that's supposed to inform people about the game, I didn't really get much information about the game...

Can you just make a game like hack/G.U a good mix of a MMO world and fun combat but SAO got a huge world so you can make it even better

"...sees its many likable characters return."
SAO has likable characters?

This concept could potentially be the best game ever created. I mean in maybe a distant future, where "nervegear" is practical and legal. It'd actually be super fun.
