Helen Terry... that's the backup singer. She has a phenomenal and powerful voice. She sang backup on quite a few of their songs.

I feel happy when young generations listen to my growing up music from the 80s. It was awesome time for music - fun and singable.

The sound of the 80's right there. Such a great time to be a teenager.😁📀👍❤️

Brilliant song. I recommend I’ll tumble 4 ya or miss me blind, very upbeat. Also victims and the crying game are both beautiful songs

I think this is my favorite of theirs. Love the harmonica. Great touch as well as Helen Terry's voice. It goes without saying how great Boy George's voice is.

My FAVORITE 80'S BAND. I am such a fan that at 52 people who I grew up with still call me Boy George. Their was like NO OTHER at that time. I still blast their greatest hits with the sun roof open and the with the windows rolled down. 😎💜💚💜💚💜💚💜

Boy George was written off often as a novelty, or, made fun of as a gay guy. So damn underrated! One of the best voices ever!

So happy to see some Culture Club back here on the channel! This one definitely gets you moving. I love that they didn’t sound or look like anyone else, they were unique and so talented.

YES! My favorite Culture Club song. Very early in their career. Lots of fun to dance to. I think you're the first reactor to feature this one <3
Need to check out some more Eurythmics for more great harmonica.

Boy George grew up in my town and went to the same school as my dad 🤩

Helen Terry is backing vocalist.

You should try The Communards - Don't Leave Me This Way, sort of reminds me of this, cool tune anyway. Thanks for bringing back Culture Club to the channel. Great reaction

The guy who played the harmonica, Judd Lander, also played the harmonica in Say You'll Be There by the Spice Girls.

The woman background vocals for many songs was Helen Terry. She has an incredible voice!

Helen Terry is so remarkable. She sang on most of the first three albums. They were trying to set her up as a solo artist, but for some reason it never realy took off. She ended up working in the Television industry as a producer. She really had a voice, almost like Chaka Kahn or Arethra Franklin. She really gets to shine on the Culture Club songs “Black Money” and “That’s the Way”

This one’s probably my fave of their old stuff!
BUT, “Move Away” has AMAZING Boy George vocals in spite of the fact he was bad on drugs by then. Move Away was their last charting hit. You should totally do that one.

Helen Terry.

Helen Terry is a British singer and television producer, known for her backing vocal work with Culture Club. As a solo performer, she scored a Top 40 hit single in 1984 with "Love Lies Lost", and released one album in 1986, Blue Notes.

this song is from their 2nd studio album - Colour by Numbers, which is a "perfect album" IMO meaning that all 10 songs on it are fantastic - you don't want to skip any of them on repeat listens. Helen Terry, the back up vocalist, features prominently on the album and her and George have a very heartfelt duet called That's The Way (I'm Only Trying To Help You) that is my favorite CC song of all time. Other great tracks from this album - Miss Me Blind, Victims and Black Money. Enjoy!
