What if Pokémon Regions Had MORE THAN 3 Starter Pokémon?

Starter Pokemon are some of the most beloved Pokemon in the entire series, and it's almost always the case that you start your adventure by choosing between three of them. But, what if each Pokemon region had more than 3 starters to choose from? In this video, we will be exploring this hypothetical concept by looking at what what NEW starter Pokemon from Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn could be like if there were really more than 3 to pick between! I hope you enjoy!

I like these but I would like to see the full line tho. Middle and final evolutions have a large influence on my opinions of starters. If I was to chose one of these new ones it would be the snake from gen 1 I like having the electric type when playing yellow but wish it would evolve. The ice type in gen 2 is interesting but without seeing the final evolution I can’t say I like it. Good concept and design would be ok if it looked really cool later on for me. Great video tho can’t wait to see more

I like the idea of the fourth starter having a random typing, seems like it would make for a great spin on the usual set type trio.

The idea is nice, but for me the final evolutions are missing. I make my starter choices depending on the final evolution.

I think Snellow would be a better fit for a more recent generation. If you compare it with Ekans and Silicobra, it is more like the current art style.

Snellow is absolutely adorable! And I love how we stay with the reptiles theme in the Kanto region!

Yes I would definitely want to see this done for all the regions. I’m looking forward to seeing the fourth starter for Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola and Galar! I would definitely pick Spetot as my starter in my Hoenn adventure!

I would 100% pick Snellow over the others because I love snakes, but I would have to see that final evo to completely convince me

Would love to see a part two and even evolved forms for these Fakemon, especially Winterei he was my favorite. Also, got to say I finally got Spotify to check out your remixes, really awesome job dude, love it.

Of these three, I'd definitely go with the rhino, I like his design the most and there's a shocking dearth of rhino pokemon aside from the Rhyhorn line. I'd definitely be interested in seeing ideas for gens 4 through 9

10:06 I always saw the hoenn starter's as Stealth: Treecko line, Speed: Torchic line, and Strength: Mudkip line

Gen 3 has an extreme apparent theme. Excerpt taken from Bulbapedia.

"The third generation of Pokémon games were more directed towards nature and relationships. The three starters were collectively more symbolic to their elements than previous starters: Mudkip is based on a fish which thrives only in Water, Torchic is a chick (which, in the real world, needs warmth in order to hatch) holding its Fire internally, and Treecko is a gecko that lives only in forests with Grass."

I would be interested in seeing what 4th starter he has in mind for the other regions and it would be interesting if Sinnoh's 4th starter was something canine related like the Raccoon Dog or a Wolf.

My favorite thing about these videos is when the pokemon looks like it belongs in that region. Like that Snellow thing looks like a kanto pokemon and man i love that. I wish more new pokemon had that kanto artstyle

You coming up with an electric type snake for Kanto actually reminded me of how when I was young, one of my friends at this day camp I used to go to made up a story of how Pokemon as a franchise came to be (and yes, I totally believed it; I was a naive 11 y/o). According to his story, Pokemon started out as just a trading card game, but all the monsters were different. Pikachu, for example, was an electric snake named Pika. There was something about a sick boy that I don't really remember the relevance of to the rest of the story? But at one point the sick boy had a Pika card, and he said "Pika" out loud and then sneezed. That's how he came up with Pikachu.

When you showed off Snellow in the video, I thought I was about to find out that that story was actually a popular urban legend or something. Very surprised at the coincidence. And I definitely think Snellow is my favorite of the three new starters you came up with (although I do love the idea of a wooly rhino Pokemon).

It's very interesting concept of fourth Starter Pokemon. I can imagine what's the starter exclusive Abilities they have (Similar to Overgrown, Blaze and Torrent.)

Starting with Spetot, since there is already existing Ability called "Swarm" (Powers up Bug-type moves when it has 1/3 of max HP.)
Second one for Winterhai would be "Frigid" (Powers up Ice-type moves when it has 1/3 of max HP. And also word "Frigid" means very cold in temperature, it fits well.)
For Snellow, it's pretty hard to come up with, but I think it would be "Surge" or "Voltage" (Powers up Electric-type moves when it has 1/3 of max HP.)
I don't have an idea for a Hidden Ability for these starters yet.

For now, I would glad to see new videos about forth Starters in each regions and also evolved form of these Starters.

After the recent announcements, I can't help but think how the gen 2 rhinomon look like a perfect pre-evolution for Cetitan

I've always wondered what types would be used if they did a Pokemon region whose starters were not grass-, fire-, and water-types. I have always wanted a Pokemon game with starters that are different types. If I was making the game, I would go with: bug-, fighting-, and poison-types. What would you go with?
