Covering a complete world of sound, producers can enter their original tracks to be in with a chance of winning a prize package worth $100,000. The competition covers six genres: Techno, House, Drum and Bass, Mainstage/EDM, Hip Hop & Trap, and Reggaeton.

London, UK - ​June 17​, 2021 ​– Following the success of Beatport’s 2020 Producer Challenge, Loopcloud and Beatport have teamed up once again to announce the biggest music production challenge of 2021, in collaboration with Beatsource, LabelRadar and Plugin Boutique.

Before entering the competition, producers can download a Participant Pack to create an original track. Every entrant can take advantage of the free plugins, sounds, music courses and DJ services worth over $200. When your track is ready, upload it to LabelRadar before July 15th (23:59 PT) to be in with a chance of winning.

--The Prizes--

30 finalists across all 6 genres will be selected by our team of music experts on August 6th. Each finalist will receive $2,500 worth of equipment or services from Beatport, Beatsource, Loopcloud, Plugin Boutique, Producer Tech, Cloudbounce, iZotope, Softube and Ujam.

5 finalists from each genre will be considered for a full release and promotional campaign via prestigious labels Shogun, Rekids, Def Jam, Nervous, DJ City, or Spinnin’ Records. All finalists will then go head-to-head in a public vote to be in with a chance of winning the grand prize – a dream studio setup worth $30,000.

Do you assign genres or do you have to preselect - Is my beat house, techno or mainstage/EDM - I have no idea, nor usually care - what definitions are you basing the decisions for genre on? What if in the middle of my 4 to the 4 track drop a trap section? Where does that go?

What a strange arrangement of criteria and prizes. Most contestants will probably already have most of those reward plugins, even from the Dream-Studio finalist bundle.

I think a cash-prize would've been better, maybe...
