TREK BONTREGER DuoTrap Integrated Speed and Cadence Sensor || Gravel without Assioma Favero Pedals

After converting the Trek Emonda to a Gravel bike, I wasn't able to use the power pedals. In the mud and sand, the cleats become full and wouldn't unclip. So I've got the Shimano Mountain Bike SPD cleats and shoes.

The DuoTrap feature from TREK is a god send. Still get speed and cadence data through my garmin. Brilliant and thanks TREK / Bontreger

I have this on my emonda ALR since 2019 and love it! I have bypassed the rubber magnet mount on the crank, by gluing a small magnet on the pedal spindle directy (where the alen key would go) Works great but i guess it depends also on the frame & crank arm size / length for this to work...
Also, beware that if the cadence magnet is too strong it could interfere with the speed sensor and give erratic speed readings. (this happened to me)

I wonder why the Assioma pedals won't work?

¿VALE MÁS LA PENA QUE LOS SENSORES DE VELOCIDAD Y CADENCIA DE GARMIN?

That is gorgeous bike in the background!!! Is it just a yellow or neon yellow or green?

The 3 objects you pointed to and called "cadence sensors" are actually magnets. The cadence sensor is the part of the duo sensor that sits in the chain stay.

Do you know the weight of the complete set of sensors and magnets? Is the duotrap kit lighter than the Garmin cadence sensor (70g)?

Great info but plz delete the irritating endless background music. This is an instructional vid, not an entertainment vid. Otherwise good job!
