I’ve seen a few ppl made the same mistake over and over. When you add that pc of wood to the jig. ( the dance). Just make sure you nail that pc to the top of the jig. Most of the time you use the best edge of the stringer to be the top side. And the bad side stays at the bottom edge. By setting the fence to the upper part of the jig insures a more accurate lay out. (Hard to explain). Sorry

put kicker strips on the bottom of the tread and the top of the riser (on the under side)
