Coding Challenge | The Snake Game | Creating A Game In JavaScript and jQuery | Timelapse | mmtuts

Hi everyone! I decided to try something new and made a little game in JavaScript and by only using the jQuery library. Figured I might as well record it to show how I did it, but remember that this is not meant to be a "how to" video which is why I increased the speed of the video. I usually create games using C# in Unity, and this is my first attempt on a JavaScript based game in a browser. Again I did this for fun and I wasn't in a hurry while doing it. Hope you enjoy :)

Great video, when you were testing position of the snake, hitting walls and eating itself, I thought wow, you're really quick at moving it around, those tricky turn back around moves....then near the end of the video it goes to normal speed and I realise what a numpty I am. Really good to watch, amazing! Thanks

Great video! Any chance you could make another video where you go through your thought process here? Many people have guides on how to learn languages, but not how to break down problems and make something out of nothing using your newly obtained skills. Teaching us how to get started, how to structure the code and how to figure out the things we need but do not yet know would be very educational and awesome! :)
