I have been watching Rumble Fish, I don't know how many times, since the 80's. It hasn't grown old for me. Some of my favourite performances by Dillon, Hopper, Rourke and certainly Coppola and Copeland. Idiosyncratic in it's greatness.

It’s not to every taste but it's a beautiful movie that stays with you It's about a time and place that You'll Never See Again.

When I saw this movie it was like a Magical Realism story of the South American writers. I feel vindicated that young people in Chile have found it.

Hah for the cinematographer that saw Tulsa and left. To be fair there isn't much to the Tulsa skyline to this day and it was far less back then. I imagine he looked at those 3 buildings or so and thought "just wtf does he want me to work with"

Back in 1980 when I was 10 years of age, The first movie I saw, Was My bodyguard, The outsiders and then Rumble fish, I have always conducted myself like Matt Dillon my entire life, It got me into a lot of trouble, I will do it again 🤣🤣🤣😈

'The Outsiders' was too literal, too commercial, and let's be honest, a little corny. 'Rumble Fish' was probably too "artsy" - much more "cooler" though. I wish FFC would have made one that was in between the two.
