thank you for the video. it is always amazing to hear a foreigner appreciate the birdlife that is so common if you live in Germany. It is too easy to forget about the beauty of a goldfinch if you see it every now and then.

It's cool to see European's birds again. since I'm a birder from Estonia but lived in Florida last 20+ years. Great birding video. 👍

Turns out I'm going to Munich for Xmas, have you done much birding in and around the city Rich? For the first time in my life I'm thinking of leaving all my birding kit behind as it's the depths of winter and have probably seen everything there already ie no new lifers...

Outstanding video. The video was so calm and being able to listen to the original sound with the music was wonderful.
Could you tell me where this location is? I’ve never seen that many pheasants in one spot. They’re quite rare in my area.

Yeah another great vid and this time birds I'm much more familiar with. 2 things of note, not sure if our Great (White) Egrets in the UK are called Cmn Egrets in Germany but your bird at 16:04 is what we call a GWE. And 2ndly in the UK Ruddy Shelduck are all considered feral birds so we generally can't list them not sure how they are considered in Germany?

I don't know if you can help me? I've tried several times to find a piticular bird from its sound from what I remember of it. I was visiting a friend in Landstuhl near the Castle in the early morning I would hear a bird that sounded like the crumpled cellophane wrapper from a cigarette package. It was pretty distinctive. If you have any ideas it would be appreciated. Thank you. I am a very amateur birder. I live on the Olympic Peninsula Washington state.😊
