TV Lift Using linear actuators from Banggood

I always wanted to construct a TV lift, but preassembled lift kits were too expensive. These actuators were perfect and very well priced, making the project feasible-low cost. I used scrap plywood and 4 drawer guides for two stage lift. The positioning was tricky getting proper height retracted and extended. This design will accommodate my current 50 inch TV and allow for upgrade to 65 inch by repositioning the actuator lift points. I put a 50 pound weight on top to test. It worked fine-up time is a bit slower than retracting, but acceptable. Wiring proved interesting – using a 2 channel remote controlled relay reversing the polarity of second relay for retracting. I’m in the process of setting it up to work with my harmony to press one button to lift TV and turn on TV and surround sound system-then the cabinet construction.

Jeez so much hate here. Yes it would be nice if he posted details but he does what he wants and doesn’t need people bashing him over a simple video.
Get your brain together and think instead of just bluntly copying.

It looks very simple. He had to use 2 actuators because of the distance the panel has to go out. So the first one rides a wood panel on drawer slides up and the end of the extension rides in a groove in the second panel. The second actuator does the same thing but extending the other panel, raising what will be attached to it.
It’s a simple multi-tier system, noting exceptional here but simple and efficient. This is just a proof of concept that still has to be installed somewhere.
Find some scrap wood, a couple of sets of drawer slides, a power supply and a couple of actuators right for your application. Sandwich the whole thing like he did here and you’re good to go.
How hard was that ??!!!!

Bravo very smarting. If you can write all the materials that you use with the details, I would like to do it for myself.
If you give the mechanism in the rear view, it will be very useful in the assembly phase.

Hi Peter,
Can i ask you how did you fixed the wood tablet to the actuator, please?

Peter Congrats on your lift mechanism. I'm in the process of building one now. Quick question- How is your cable management on the second actuator? The one that is moving up and down? Any problems with pinching or getting snagged by the movement?

Que maravilha o projeto e incrível já vou adotar o método!

You could archive the Same mechanics with only one actuator, just do research how forklifts work

Looks nice. What is the stroke length on the Actuators? Total length retracted and extended?

I want to use this system to lift a bed up and down 5 ft. I wonder how I would wire 4 of these together and make each end move up and down together with a push of a button.

Peter clearly doesn't give a crap to share what actuators he used or where to get them. Too bad, as many might be interested in attempting this themselves. A perfect example of how not to post a video on Youtube.
