Newton's 2nd Law (8 of 21) Calculate Acceleration w/o Friction; Inclined Plane, One Mass

preview_player
Показать описание
Shows you how to calculate the acceleration of a mass as it slides down a frictionless inclined plane. The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied to the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. The second law can also be stated in terms of an object's changing momentum, such that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied and the change in momentum is in the direction of the net force.

This helped me immensely, my Physics teacher tends to overexplain and I tend to overthink, this is simple enough for me to retain it!

oh my god, this is way helpful explaining step by step. i honestly took me this to understand less than 5 minutes than it took to understand my teacher or other. God pleas you

Fantastic video. I've watched others over 30 minutes, overcomplicating things. Great job and thanks very much

OMG, Thank you so much, I've spent two weeks trying to work this out for my physics assignment and you explained it so well in less than 10 minutes. What a legend!!

I remember this from my A Level maths back in 1980 I worked it out then played the video. Used it a lot in circular motion of mass on a string: mv^2/R = T-mgCos(theta) where R is radius, T is tension. Loved Applied Maths

“I’m on earth. Hopefully you’re on earth.” i don’t know but i laughed so hard on this statement. anyway, your videos helped me a lot. thank you!

This video made my day. Had struggled with a specific task regarding this and couldn't find any straight forward explanations, like this, in my book. Thank you so much :))

30 years ago, I failed test on this very specific exercise. I did not fully understand this lesson. 30 years later, I wanted to review this lesson and NOW and because of YOU I do understand it. Thanks from my heart Sir.

Thank you SO much, you have no idea how MUCH I needed this help! When I clicked on the video I thought you were going to go straight forward into the math, but no, you explained everything so clearly and I can actually answer the question on my homework now. (The only thing diffrent with my question to this one in the video is that the triangle had a 20 degree angle). I had no idea how to do this before this video thank you thank you thank you thannnnkkk

This was on my midterm today. We weren't given the mass, and I guessed to use Sine. You made this super clear!!! I won't have to guess next time.

Great video man!
I was doing a physics problem involving forces transferring through gears and needed to determine the best gear configuration in a inclined plane scenario. I had forgot how to calculate the resulting acceleration, so I came to your video! I didn't need that info to solve it, but I wanted to calculate just for the pleasure of it hahahah. It was really helpful. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for clearly explaining a topic I have been stuck on for days because my physics teacher keeps contradicting himself
