This sneaker is no longer possible. Released a few years ago, the Nike LeBron 9 "Watch The Throne" was created to celebrate Jay-Z and Kanye West, but will never be seen again. The LeBron 9 was one of LeBron's best signature basketball sneakers and it doesn't get enough credit for how game-changing the sneaker was at the time. This sneaker, the NIke LeBron 9 "Watch The Throne" was created faster than most ordinary sneakers and represented a huge moment for Basketball, Sneakers, and Hip-Hop. Too bad, that because of what Jay-Z, LeBron James, and Kanye West have done since, this sneaker is now impossible and we may never see a moment like this again.

This is one of my favorite eras of Nike basketball. The amount of effort that was put in by everyone (designers, corporate, athletes, and consumers) was just top tier. I hope we can get another era like this wether it’s from Nike or someone else

2012 was unfortunately the last genuine year of authentic sneakerheads, the culture is at a standstill right now, & will take a strong reset for it to recreate a glimpse of that time period.

The lebron 9 will forever be a top 5 fav of mine. The moment and storytelling was on point. I remember seeing the Lebrons actual pair in UNKNWN and just admiring in awe.

This was hands down the “golden age” of Nike basketball and sneaker culture. I been collecting since 2000 and I miss this. The holiday themed packs, PE’s, the story telling…it was all top tier. The game (sneakers AND basketball) are very different today.

I appreciated your take on the change and state of the culture/sneaker culture since 2011. I would have to mostly agree as it seems the best years of sneakers may be behind us with it becoming mainstream and professionally monetized. I could care less about today’s sneakers and whatever provokes people to buy(not wear) them. I’m glad to got experience sneakers the way I did before it is whatever it is now. From camping for Jay’s or sniping sb’s or just trading sneakers that I wanted to wear. Good thing I got plenty heat from over the years cuz I’m not rocking with all the bs/back door/dick riding/wave culture that has taken over. But I’m just one man.

The new resellers killed everything, this shoe was super iconic too me and the older lebron's too but man did this new guys kill the vibe for everything, they literally determine the value of the shoes that come out and Nike has no say in it
