Chauvin does the time, I've been following this case a lot and all Eric Nelson has done is deal is some hypothetical pseudo situation where the officer could somehow be justified in his actions that "did NOT" cause the death of George Floyd. The whole idea that the officer might've felt threatened should've been immediately dismissed when the following did not occur:

-The officer never took his hands out his pockets. (most telling piece)
-The officer made no attempts to ease the crowd. (aren't they trained as first responders to de escalate)
-The officer stayed stationary in front of the perceived "threat". (angry mobs of people or concerned law abiding citizens)
-The officer was consistently told to stop impeding the man's breathing. (everyone could tell GF found it hard to breathe)
-The officer made no attempts to communicate with the man to accurately assess the situation.
-There was no medical aid given by the officer. (also trained to have some medical procedures)
-The arrested George Floyd consistently said he himself found it hard to breathe. (or was he not listening)

I had my wife put her knee to the back of my neck while I lay on the floor with my hands behind me. I had (surprisingly) no problem breathing. I told her to put ALL her weight on the one knee and still no problem. I turned my head to the side and still no problem. Now before you beat me up for only using my 120 lb wife (I married well) and not having someone also sitting on my lower back, I recognize all of that. I, frankly, didn't expect this result. Now I'm thinking George didn't die because of the knee. Drug overdose? Probably. Poor health (heart disease)? Probably. Lack of care by the police of someone in their custody? Definitely. The knee? Very doubtful. IMHO of course.
