Once again, a spot-on analysis. My entire family has been in many cities around the world and NOWHERE else have we felt as safe as when we've been in Bangkok. A testament to this is seeing women (very pretty women) and school age girls (very pretty girls oftentimes) walking all alone and not a single soul bothers them, let alone and God forbid anything worse, No, I'll take the realities of Bangkok life (and for sure not 'Forbes' magazine) to tell me where is truly safe.

The two most dangerous things in Bangkok are crazy unpredictable scooter riders and breathing the air during burning season. Other wise I feel very safe around Bangkok and Thai people.

Great video Rob! I’m really glad you addressed the issue of safety. You nailed it! Common sense. Keep up the great work! 👏👏👏

I would walk down any street at 3am in Bangkok and not worry. The chances of something happening are virtually zero. I would not walk round my home town in the UK at 3am. Not a chance.

I feel completely safe when I'm in Thailand, be it in rural Isaan or crazy Bangkok, London however I do not feel safe in.
I think the most dangerous things are the traffic and definitely the soi dogs

I walked this same walkway from the metro to my hotel on Sukhumvit 11. Very nice walkway with nice trees and flowers. Thanks for your video, bring back memories. 1 september i go back.

Great video, I guess that the rating was taken with a western perception, without actually spending the time to consider the reality of it. What I absolutely love about Bangkok and all of Thailand is just how naturally smiley and welcoming the people are. It always lifts my spirits by this politeness and positivity.😊😊 I would feel much more nervous walking around London, sadly.

I run on that river canal at 4am many times with a flashlight, never had a problem. It’s a little eerie.. I’ll be back in September

I have learned that the dangling wires are communication lines, not electricity wires.

Great little tour although walking along that railway track is a little harsh on the old feet.

Good on ya Rob. As per usual, an enjoyable and entertaining blog based on someone at ground level. Without any shadow of a doubt, I feel more safe for example in Bangkok that I do in Melbourne...supposedly for a while "The most liveable City". As you highlighted, danger can be mitigated by good old common sense and perception can be quite a shallow take. Cheers man. Live Love Thailand🙏

Safe as houses (...as long as you're not on the back of a bike or...well...breathing in Bangkok) ha! Fire as always my man

Couldn't agree with you more. I have never felt unsafe even in the doggiest areas. Well done.

Absolutely fantastic video mate, just awesome!! Never known Bangkok to be that dangerous but when I was first coming over there like 10 years ago there was bombings and shootings going on everywhere, especially in places where I worked, was scary times. Glad that doesn't happen much anymore.

"Back on the train track - much safer" haha - Nice to see how friendly the locals are. Yeah some of those dogs are dodgy. I got bitten by one in Pattaya - had to get rabies jabs lol. Nice to see you getting so many smiles. Would definitely love to check it out some time. Thanks for sharing.

Great vid! Random question: do you know if the Whizdom condos near True Digital Park have a rental office that people can walk into and ask to see units? Or is finding a rental agent needed first? I'm arriving in October and will be looking for a 12 month lease.
