I've always kept my private life private. I've encountered people who wanted to know more about me or be close to me only to find out that they were in secret competition with me or wanted to cause me harm. I'm not rich and I'm not a perfect person by any means. But I get crazy vibes from people.

If you have anything they don't have, people will be jealous of you. if you are happy and they sad. Even if you have nothing. If your sitting and they are standing they will get jealous. Pettiness knows no bounds.

If you ever feel envious of someone for whatever reason, just do everything that you can to support the person's interests. In the end, you will both feel much better. Envy is for the weak.

I’ve had ppl tell me that I think I’m perfect, & I’ve never thought I was perfect in my life. Had a supervisor fire me bc she thought I lied about what I do after work. I told her I go home & cook dinner for my daughter, then we do homework. After that we go to sleep. My supervisor said nobody’s that perfect. I feel like I should have told her I go home & snort a line & drink lots of liquor. I swear it was like the better I got at my job the more she hated me. Then, me going home & living a boring life was the straw the broke the camel’s back. She was pea green with envy. I did not deserve to get fired just bc she was jealous of me. Karma got her though.

Sometimes you are just being silent then someone (even a relative or friend) would suddenly make a comment about you, your figure, your career or material possessions out of nowhere. And it shocks you, leaving you frustrated. That's envy and you should always control your thoughts when this situation occurs.

I never understood why people envy others. I always believed in the power of God, and with HIM all things are possible. If you believe, God will open doors for you, so what ever you need, God will povide. If you have faith, you never have to envy anyone.

Big facts! Any time I get the sense that I’m dealing with jealous people I always minimize my achievements If they even ask, but more so complain about how stressful work currently is. Lol I hate having to deal with envious and jealous MF’ers. Stay Focused Guys!!

My “friend” was bragging about his massive body count recently which he claimed was in the hundreds. So then he asked me mine and I said “three if you count that thing in kindergarten” and he couldn’t stop laughing. I intentionally deprecate myself when people are bragging too much hoping that they’ll stop bragging.

Very true. Envy disguised as criticism. These ppl doing all the hate and envy are all malignant narcissists. We have an epidemic of narcissism in this society.

I’ve adopted this behavior but it’s nice to see it outlined in a book by someone who studies human behavior. It was self preservation for me. Black military kid. Traveled all over the world my whole life. I learned quickly that I had a small window of time to find caricatures and ice breakers quickly or I’d be doomed to be friendless or bullied that school year. If you can make the bullies laugh, they have a use for you and typically leave you alone. It’s wild how we all manipulate one another, for diff reasons
