I've read your book, The God-shaped brain. As a distressed 16-year-old who had a slew of questions about the Bible and God's wrath, it was a life-changing book for me. It changed the way I viewed God and his principles. I could finally feel His love in my life. I can't be more grateful for it. If Jesus died to pay a penalty a legal debt owed ...to whom did Jesus pay the penalty to? I heard pastor Finley, who baptized me in Chicago in 1983 say recently on YouTube, "the debt was paid to the universe." This makes absolutely no sense to me. Thank God I can see past the penal legal lies that many good people still teach and believe. Design law truly clarifies and crystalizes God's character as LOVE. Without design law the Bible becomes a series of square pegs trying to fit into round holes. "The truth shall set you free." John 8:32

The scripture that is a bridge to my mind for realizing and embracing the truth of Dr. Jennings teaching of The Gospel is ' the life of the flesh is in the blood', without that our body uniform leaves us naked, which is what we are when we go to sleep waiting for ressurection!!! I pray we will have our refuge in Christ constantly and we have the spirit of life in Christ Jesus and we have the mind of Christ! Christ Jesus gave His life for us as He loves us and is the best!

I see that gods anger is aimed towards the instigator of the lie that caused adam and eve to fall out of gods grace. Just as a parents anger towards a mutilator of their children would be aimed at the instigator. Their love of the mutilated child now bearing the scars and ongoing sin and shame has not changed, and if it has changed then it shows just how far away from god we actually are.

When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit we will then be in the same condition as Jesus was when he was born right? In sinful human flesh but also with the Holy Spirit (God) as our father so we can now choose not to sin but to love and trust Him.

Salvation of our character is while we are alive.
Salvation of our body is with a resurrection - which requires death.
BTW: There is no such thing as a human being without a body...

1Cor. 15:22  We are all terminal and will die because of the infection
of selfishness passed down from Adam,
but all who unite with Christ will be cured and made alive!

with our selfish natures and diseased bodies -
