A very fair & informative review. We need more unbiased impressions like this. I'm also very impressed that you stressed the weight/bulk being not ideal (to put it mildly) for offroad situations. Offroad being tight gnarly trails rather than just wide flat & smooth terrain (dirt or otherwise). I feel you have much better cred being untethered to ks👍

I really appreciate the honest review of the Commander, the impression and technical details that have been said about this wheel. I am not sold on it considering "The Bad". That being said which wheel offers decent moderate to high range, off-road capability, 60 kph+, stability and durability.... Basically all the high notes. I would love to ride it to work, but would also like to hit the trails to explore and have fun...

I would buy a pack of replacement mountain bike pedal grip pins/screws($10 on amazon). Then drill and tap a few holes in each pedal on the commander and add some of the pins. I would rather do that than spend another $250 on pedals. Especially since the commanders pedals are very large and machined aluminum.

Great video! Loved the presentation and the material covered since it’s what I wanted to know about the Commander. It has that range and it has that higher torque (in the HT version) that the Sherman didn’t have, especially for a heavier rider like me. Even has some resistance to water that I didn’t hear others mention previously. That 4K price tag is really a buzzkill for me and a lot of folks, especially as you said, with the questionable design choices…4K isn’t for a wheel with backwards speaker and Sub par headlights. Yikes. It does have that huge battery which is nice, but regarding Gotway wheels, I’d say EXN Torque just feels like a better value.

Looking forward to your next Video! S20 looks to be the big darling of the new wheels.
