Inside A Light-Filled Open Minimalist HDB Home With Peaceful Sea Views

This week, we head to Punggol Northshore for what is probably one of the most scenic sea views that you can get from an HDB. Home owners Eason and Tricia wanted a home that was further away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and what better way than to stay at the edge of Singapore? While obviously not as convenient, the sound of the waves and that serene unblocked view isn't something you'd be able to come across too often.

This HDB is a 1,206 square feet 5 room space, but with its minimalist theme and open nature, it does feel a lot bigger than the numbers on paper. The open layout kitchen especially, with the earthy colours, the couple realised that the space was great to entertain and easily had more than enough space for both to prep and cook.

We especially like that they've chosen to do away with the traditional TV console and TV setup. Instead, the living features a platform (that they can sit and admire the views), and there is also a projector screen that slides down for cosy movie nights.

I think the view is just alright. Some sea, some foreign worker dorms, some storage containers, some Pasir Gudang :) Dunno if its the filter or does the air really look rather hazy?

Great view, but I think there will be a lot of pollution from the Malaysian port… so cannot open windows

There r many skeptical who commented the cons rather than thinking forward.
Yes, opposite is pasir gudang, the air may be toxic, location may be off. Apart of above mentioned. I rather bet for a seaside living rather than surrounded by mundane concrete buildings or hdb blocks. Unless u stay right in the centre of d city. Else try respect other's choices.
It's a relatively new residential area, I guess only time will tell whether the air is toxic enuf to harm the health of residents there.
So far, I believe those who living there are happy with the package it comes with.
Personally, I felt the mediocre private condo can't even hv the feel & view like this. (Don't doubt, I do stay at private Condo).

Cosy and warm house. But don't be fooled by the 'waterfront living' esque. This is not sentosa cove. Right opposite is a major industrial complex called Pasir Gudang
