Yes as a classical dancer myself I too can assure that this Arangettam performance can be taken as per the Bharathanatyam standard for children of the age of 6-9...but her confidence and grace and a sense of innocence cannot be ignored especially considering the fact that she is facing a huge audience..and also her efforts must be considered. but yes truth be told she needs a lot of practice....

She's just doing what she loves. In a generation where people post Instagram stories sitting in posh pubs, there's a girl from a billionaire's family doing this!!!! Yes, there's always a scope of improvement. But let's just appreciate her efforts. One who's appreciated does more than expected!!!

She should undergo more training on Classical Dance....it's nice to see her promoting Indian culture...

A lot of people are appreciating her for "promoting" the art form... But if you must promote something, you have to make it look good. I've seen people training for 10+ years and not doing an arangetram because they aren't perfect yet. An arangetram is a proclamation that you are ready as a dancer to teach the art you have perfected....This just promotes that if you have enough money you can buy knowledge, you can buy art, you can buy our culture.

Because of her I knew the word 'Arangetram' and went on to watch others Arangetram to get an idea of how it is done since the comments has been telling she's way behind. It was fun to watch other dancers Arangetram. As I had never been into classical dance she peaked my interest into watching

Experts may judge her, but for novice like me it's amazing to watch her doing classic dance forms, sometimes it encourages more youths more then some experts.

Many comments are happy that people like Ambani are embracing our traditional classical dance form.
My question is....why do you think we have to appreciate this? Does the value of Bharatanatyam increases only when rich people do it? Doesn't Bharatnatyam alone stands with a great history and pride on its own?
Stop degrading our culture. You can respect her hardwork without saying such things.

It's like letting an amature perform the swan lake at the royal ballet. I say give the opportunity to the talented people who have trained so very hard for years and years and hasn't gotten the acclaimation yet.

It's a proud and good feeling to see tradition of Indian culture & dance are getting promoted by ultra modern rich class society but there is no doubt that Ambani & Bachchan's love yo follow culture on their special big days..I appreciate..but yes there is nthg like this is best performance, we all hv seen dance India dance & India's got talent type shows that lil middle class / poor kids hv given tremendous performances after getting zero support from fmly😊💖✨ I'm proud of them more❤️

It's not easy to give stage performance after studying for 8 years. The training takes further more years to give nice stage performance. After watching the video we can clearly say that she don't have much training. Anga shuddhi is also important. She is holding her hands stiff and body too. It doesn't give nice expressions. Should involve in the song. After doing Vidvath it takes 10 to 12 years of training Rangapravesha/ arangetram is done. It's not so easy to do. But here in Radhika's case money and prestige plays a very important role.

An arangetram ceremony is done when a dancer is ready to perform infront of an audience. When she is ready is all aspects. This isn't a competition where you give away consolation prize for 'atleast' trying. It's a century old ritual of Bharatnatyam dance form. And She is not doing a favour by learning Bharatnatyam being a Gujrati either.

As a trained bharatnatyam dancer, I can just say that she looks pretty and has a great smile, apart from that there is no grace or finesse which is associated with our craft. To people who are unaccustomed to our culture, it might be exotic but if you look through the glamour, I think you will agree. No offense, I'm not simply saying that b'coz she is rich or gifted....She genuinely has no talent when it comes to dance. Her posture, mudras and movement -it's all bad. She might be talented in something else but definitely not dance.

After the completion of graduation in dancing so that she can give training to others as well is known as Arangetram
Superb initiative 👏

Good for her, for putting herself out there for criticism but yet still wanting to go ahead with her passion for Bharatha Natyam, an extraordinarily technically difficult dance form to learn. The Indian classical dance forms need all the exposure they can get.

I am just a mere dance lover not a dance expert. I really appreciate that Indian dance form was promoted by Ambanis...just kudos to that first. And on Radhikas performance I just felt that her efforts were genuine and looked pleasant overall. Indian dances should be officially embraced by all Indians... schools should make it compulsory to learn atleast one Indian classical dance form and thus promote our rich heritage. And not to forget in the age of fast food dance comes as a good physical activity.

People who are giving kudos for promoting Bharatanatyam by billionaire
's family must know that Bharatnatyam or any dance shaili doesn't need a promotion from anyone ., It itself is an asset and will be forever. Her dance is very painful to watch someone who doesn't know the basic of Bharatnatyam will only appreciate this, probably because for them it is very rare to watch someone performing Bharatnatyam ...But yes, belonging from a billionaire's family it must be very difficult for this girl to do what she loves(assuming she loves Bharatnatyam) .. it's real struggle for her., just like Ananya pandey ;)

Arangentam means it's her very first stage performance-her debut. And if she's learning after becoming an adult it's going to be difficult. It's only her debut stage performance, I don't think judging her too negatively makes sense.

It's very good to see that people are promoting indian culture. But when they are doing this they should have perfection. The way she is dancing it's shows that she is just a beginner. But still l appreciate her dancing and hope to see her as a perfect dancer in future
